Week two: A Natural Beauty

Last week I decided to go on an evening walk to calm my restless mind. The sun had just gone down and hues of purple pink and orange painted the sky. It was beautiful, the perfect setting I needed to put me in a mode of ease. Staring up at the sky as I walked down the pavement (and stumbling over the bumps in the road) I noticed a Jacaranda tree to my left. Against the backdrop of the twilight sky, the ash grey bark of the Jacaranda tree added amazing contrast to this image, and the outline of it's twisty branches gave it dimension. Hanging lightly on the orange horizon, the purple flowers looked like they were rimmed by a fuzzy yellow flame. Walking down that street, I decided that natural light is the most beautiful and mysterious creation on earth. It's so intangible but so filling at the same time; and it's funny how much more it can effect you when you pay attention to it.
